American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
This all-inclusive course teaches participants the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies at swimming pool facilities. The course content and hands-on activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drownings and injuries. Participants will learn how to: identify behaviors of a swimmer, distressed swimmer, and an active or passive drowning victim, understand the components of an emergency action plan and how to activate it, understand the general procedures for an emergency occurring in the water or on land, perform equipment-based rescues, provide first aid and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, recognize and care for possible head, neck or back injuries. Participants MUST attend each session of a scheduled class in order to qualify for certification. No Refunds.
Prerequisites: Must meet minimum age of 15 before last day of class. Candidates must successfully complete swimming skills pre-test on the first day of class. Call Vanessa for details.

American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED
Do you know how to recognize an emergency? Would you know what to do if someone near you was hurt? Learn basic first aid and CPR skills with our Red Cross certified programs.
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (Full Course)
For participants who "have a duty to respond" in an emergency and need to use more advanced techniques. This course includes basic CPR skills for adults, children and infants; plus performing two-rescuer CPR, using a resuscitation mask and a bag-valve mask and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest.

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer review
Practice CPR skills, including obstructed airway, 2 person CPR on adult, child, and infant before taking the test. Updates to the course and automated external defibrillator will be taught. Must have current CPR and face mask. Certification valid for 1 year for lifeguard and 2 years for professional rescuers.
