Welcome to the Bethlehem YMCA Childcare. . . . a great place to grow!
For over fifty years the Bethlehem YMCA, a non-profit agency, has been meeting the needs of children, adults and families in our community. Our childcare center offers a well-balanced, child centered program focused on the developmental needs of children six weeks to twelve years of age. The program is committed to serving a wide variety of families without regard to race, creed, color, national orgin or financial ability.
We are committed to nurturing individual differences and the growth of the whole child: focusing on physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.
The program is educationally centered. We offer children the opportunity to make choices, resolve disputes, to share toys, to build friendships but MOST importantly to have fun!
Our program is educationally centered and builds on what children already know and are able to learn. It integrates cross content areas, providing rich opportunities for content development. Lesson plans are posted weekly and are aligned with the PA Learning Standards for each age group from infants through school-age children.
The "Y" childcare is located at 430 East Broad Street. Our center is an educationally based childcare, providing care for one hundred forty-four children daily.
Our goal is to have our preschool children kindergarten ready. Our classrooms are age divided and our program is developmentally appropriate.
Our children enjoy the facilities at the "Y," including the gyms, racquetball courts, swimming pool and of course our own indoor/outdoor playcenters.
Parents are welcome to stop for a visit at anytime during our day. We provide may activites from field trips to classroom parties for family involvement. |
- Hours: 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM
- Extended Care: 6:00 - 7:00 PM
- Includes: Breakfast, Lunch and two snacks
